Sneak Peek Alert!! New Build-A-Bear Product Line

I can hardly contain my excitement!! I got my sneak peek order from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog being released on September 1 and oh how I LOVE IT ALL!! I tried to refrain from ordering everything but I totally could not resist the fun new Build-A-Bear line of stamps!

Aren't these litte guys just too cute?? I made this card with a combination of two new Build-A-Bear stamp sets. The clothes on my new friends and the card background are created with the coordinating Designer Series Paper that goes along with this new line. Isn't that paper pieced dress and matching shoes just too adorable? How about those denim looking shorts?

I'm in love and I know you will be too. September 1 just can't come soon enough!!

One Layer Monochromatic Kind and Caring Thoughts

Kind & Caring Thoughts is quickly becoming one of my favorite hostess sets in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. To become the proud owner of this beautiful set, simply host a workshop with order totals of $500 or more.

The Late Night Stampers weekly challenge is to make a monochromatic card. I also happen to be in a swap that requires just one layer. I thought I would combine the two to create this thinking of you card.

Can you tell from my working sheet that I made quite a few of these babies :) I'm also proud to say my fingers are appropriately inky, too!

Both the card stock and ink used is Bermuda Bay. This is a side opening card so the base started out as 4-1/4" x 11". The edge is punched with the Scalloped Edge punch. The opening was done with the Scalloped Oval punch. All edges were sponged with some Bermuda Bay ink.

Using my hand dandy, always useful Stamp-A-Majig, I lined up Thinking Of You on the inside of the card to match with the opening of the Scalloped Oval. Adding a little ...and it's all good, we have a quick and easy card!

Remember, you can click on any picture on my blog to get a larger view. I hope this inspires you to do a little one layer monochromatic stamping of your own!!

Out of the Box

When I was little, I had a Jack-In-The-Box at my grandma's house. I'm pretty sure it had a clown in it. I'd sit and turn it one little note at a time until it would pop open, making me jump every time. I LOVED IT!!

For hosting a minimum qualifying workshop or placing an individual order of $150, This adorable Out of the Box stamp set is yours free! Out of the Box stamp set contains stamps for the box itself, the spring, and several items to pop out including this adorable little flower!
This card is made using Kraft as the base, Tempting Turquoise for the mat, So Saffron as the image base, and a piece of Designer Series Paper from Flock Together to add some fun color. I stamped the box and spring in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink directly onto the So Saffron card stock. The flower is stamped in Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink on a scrap of Whisper White and cut out. After adding a yellow brad from the Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad collection, I mounted it onto the card with a foam Dimensional. The card is tied up with some 1/4" Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon. Finally, the "friend to friend" stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes was added with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.
This was a quick and simple card inspired by Kayleen Clements who was inspired by Angela Jones. Isn't sharing grand :)

So hot...so cool!

It reached a whopping 99° in my crazy town today and I swear it had to have been 99% humidity to go along with it! It was definitely an icky sticky day here in Illinois. What a better way to cool off than with a little snow!

I was having a little BLUE inspiration! Snow Swirled is the stamp set that was able to fulfil my chilly dream. The snowflakes are stamped in Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, and Bordering Blue. The card base is Brocade Blue. The mat is Brilliant Blue. I tried to incorporate the other three Stampin' UP! blues but just couldn't find any more space :) The sentiment is stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink. To finish it off, I created a "cheater bow" out of the 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon. Remember, you can always click on the image for a larger view!

I think this will make a wonderful addition to my Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack! Register today through my Meetup site or by emailing me now!
