It's actually a lunch bag

Isn't this just adorable?  This super cool gift bag has been made from a brown paper lunch sack!  Stampin' UP! papers and stamps can dress up anything!!

I really like the black, white and red color combination.  The black and white paper is from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It's called Night & Day Specialty.  I've been waiting for a black and white set for a long time.  The Real Red polka dot ribbon is a fan favorite and compliments this layout very well.  The stamps from Circle Circus embossed in Basic Black Craft Ink and embossing powder make a great accent on this bag.

I'll be holding a couple Gift Packaging Buffets in November and December.  You can bet your bottom dollar this great gift bag will be a part of the fun!

It's a...

WREATH!! This cool wreath was made with Jackpot Designer Series paper and embellished with some 10mm dice beads. I was inspired by my bunco group to make this wreath. It's my first "official" decoration in my new craft room! You can click on the image for a larger view.

I will post a tutorial for making this wreath in the next day or two. The quick basic instructions are as follows:

10" Styrofoam wreath

6 full sheets DSP, cut into 1" x4" strips

sticky strip

Create loops of DSP holding them closed with sticky strip. Use sticky strip to glue each loop to the wreath. Work in rows going around the wreath. I didn't cover the whole back so it would lay against the wall nicer.

This took about 4 hours to complete. I'm going to do another one with the Autumn Spendor DSP and die cut leaves. I'll post as soon as it's complte. Enjoy!!

Hey...what's that?

I've been hard at work on the new stamp room. Of course, I've had to take a few breaks here and there to get creative.

The picture on the left is just a snippet of one of the projects I have planned for the very quickly approaching gift giving season!

It's been...

crazy! I haven't posted anything in quite some time. I can say, however, it's not because I haven't been creating. It's because I've been working on the NEW Kelli's Korner Stamp Room!! I'm planning a fabulous grand opening for our new Stampin' space. We'll have a classroom to seat up to 14, plenty of room for our tools, paper, and supplies, and wonderful lighting for creating our stamped master pieces! My family is very happy that I'm going to be giving them the rest of the house back :)

"I bet you won't put that on your blog!" Ha ha!! An inspired stamper has no shame. This is me at about 6:00am a few days ago after a very late midnight stamping session. I had inspiration and felt a need to get up and create again! I will admit, after only a couple hours sleep I was more than happy to take a little snooze. You have to create when you're inspired, I say!

You see, son, Mom's not afraid to share the wonderful photos you so lovingly take of her. Just wait til I get back to that baby bath page in your scrapbook!! :)

What you see is not always what you get!

Who said cards should always open from the left or the top? I promise, it definitely wasn't me! I have to admit, though, I do get stuck in the traditional card rut every once in a while. Adding a little spark to your card can be as easy as adding just a couple Fabulous Folds!!

The card on the left looks unsuspecting enough, right? It was created on an Old Olive Textured Cardstock base and uses the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper and the Animal Stories Stamp Set. That cute little elephant was stamped in Brilliant Blue Classic Ink and mounted on Chocolate Chip Card Stock. The ribbon is from one of our great Ribbon Originals packages.

Sometimes looks can be deceiving :) This cute little card actually opens to reveal a fun tri-shutter design! Don't you just love the little owl hanging down to say hello? I really like the tri-shutter cards. There are lots of pannels to stamp and play with. They're super cute and a non traditional.
