Alternative Colored Christmas

Who said Christmas cards had to be Red and Green?  This card, made with the Level 1 Hostess Set Patterned Pines, is one of my favorites this season.  This card was made using the colors Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red and Brocade Blue.  What a cool combination for the holidays!

I'll really miss this set when it retires with the Holiday Mini Catalog on January 4.  Until the, I'm going to use it all I can!!  Now off to make some more Christmas cards!  Christmas is only 11 days away!!  ACK!!!!

Santa Inspired My Digital Studio Pages

I've written in some earlier posts about my involvement with my local VFW.  I work with the most amazing group of lady volunteers.  We do awesome things for our veterans and the community. They make me proud to say that I am their leader :)

This past Sunday, we held our annual Breakfast with Santa event.  Our goal for this breakfast is to collect toys for the Family Shelter Service of DuPage County for their annual Holiday Shoppe.  We did a fabulous job!!  These girls worked their tails off and helped us collect a whole truck load of toys and buy a  bunch of gift certificates that will go to needy kids and their mom's for Christmas.  It's such a wonderful feeling to be able to give back to those who are less fortunate when we have been so blessed in our own lives!

To commemorate this event, I went to My Digital Studio.  I wanted to create a little thank you to Santa so I created a digital album for him to remember all the little children he saw that day at the VFW!  My Digital Studio made this album so easy to create.  I used many predesigned templates and just popped the pictures in.  For other pages, I added my own flair and style to create fun, easy pages just for Santa.

The photo on the right is an example of a template page.  I added a couple snowflake stamps to make it pop a little more and changed the font size on the journaling.  The photo on the left is an example of a Kelli page :)  The photo layout is standard but I added the punches, papers, and embellishments to make it my own.  That's me sitting with Santa on the right with the reindeer antlers!

My Digital Studio made it super easy for me to create a fun thank you for Santa and all of my wonderful volunteers.  Ho Ho Ho!!!  Merry Christmas!!

Snow....that's what it's doing outside my house today.  It's coming down like crazy!  It gives me chills just looking at it.  But, this great little tile sign warms my heart!

Made from a border tile from the hardware store, Holiday Mix Decor Elements and Frost white Shimmer Paint, this little sign would make a great, inexpensive gift for someone on your list!  The Holiday Mix Decor Elements and Frost White Shimmer Paint will only be available throught he end of the Holiday Mini Catalog period on January 4.  After that, they'll be gone...possibly forever!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it MELT!!!

Happy Stamping :)
