Santa Inspired My Digital Studio Pages

I've written in some earlier posts about my involvement with my local VFW.  I work with the most amazing group of lady volunteers.  We do awesome things for our veterans and the community. They make me proud to say that I am their leader :)

This past Sunday, we held our annual Breakfast with Santa event.  Our goal for this breakfast is to collect toys for the Family Shelter Service of DuPage County for their annual Holiday Shoppe.  We did a fabulous job!!  These girls worked their tails off and helped us collect a whole truck load of toys and buy a  bunch of gift certificates that will go to needy kids and their mom's for Christmas.  It's such a wonderful feeling to be able to give back to those who are less fortunate when we have been so blessed in our own lives!

To commemorate this event, I went to My Digital Studio.  I wanted to create a little thank you to Santa so I created a digital album for him to remember all the little children he saw that day at the VFW!  My Digital Studio made this album so easy to create.  I used many predesigned templates and just popped the pictures in.  For other pages, I added my own flair and style to create fun, easy pages just for Santa.

The photo on the right is an example of a template page.  I added a couple snowflake stamps to make it pop a little more and changed the font size on the journaling.  The photo on the left is an example of a Kelli page :)  The photo layout is standard but I added the punches, papers, and embellishments to make it my own.  That's me sitting with Santa on the right with the reindeer antlers!

My Digital Studio made it super easy for me to create a fun thank you for Santa and all of my wonderful volunteers.  Ho Ho Ho!!!  Merry Christmas!!

It's a party!!! A My Digital Studio Party!!

The long awaited release of Stampin' UP!'s My Digital Studio has finally arrived!  The Stampin' Addicts have put together a fun blog party that will showcase the many beautiful things you can create with My Digital Studio.  I'm so glad you've stopped by my party!!!

I know many people immediately thing "digital scrapbooking" when they think of this kind of program.  My Digital Studio is so much more!  In this first project, I created a card using Petal Party (one of my FAVORITE stamp sets) in My Digital Studio and a matching card using my stamps and ink.  Can you tell which is which??  You can click on the photo for a closer view.  Give up?

Let's take a side view.  Here's a side view of the card front mounted on Old Olive.  See that beautiful brad and Old Olive ribbon popping right off the page?

It's hard to believe that the card to the right is a digital printed image.  That same brad and 1/4" grosgrain ribbon is anything but real, dimensional or touchable!







My digital studio is a great design program.  I created this next project out of necessity :)  I have a whole bunch of these great tins that I'm trying to find a good use for.  I settled on a set of 3x5 note cards!  These cards were digitally designed and printed on Whisper White cardstock.  Totally flat and totally cool!  Since My Digital Studio designs and colors match our exclusive color families, I was able to use my butterfly punch with the Script Designer Paper in My Digital Studio and some Not Quite Navy cardstock with Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon to decorate the top of my box to create a wonderful gift set!

My Digital Studio Blog Party!!

We're trying something a little new and different for this upcoming event. Starting at noon EST on Saturday, October 3, Stampin’ Addicts will be hosting a Blog Party that will be done carnival style. My Digital Studio - The classic scrapbook

My Digital Studio launches in just a few days!  On October 1, you will be able to order and enjoy the ease and fun of making wonderful digitial Stampin' Up! projects!!

I'm working on a book to cvelebrate a year long monthly birthday celebration that my friends and I participated in a couple years ago.  This first page, Celebrate! Jo Jo is an example of the great layouts that are already pre designed in MDS.


The second page was created by adding a new page to my album and adding my choice of flowers and embelishments.  I love how the elements look like they're popping off the page!

This has been a great way for me to jump outside of my normal scrapbooking comfort zone and experiment.  I'd NEVER put a staple through one of my photos but now I know how cute it is and I have no fear of making an oops that can't be deleted :)

My Digital Studio has arrived!  Available on October 1, My Digital Studio from Stampin' UP! is the digital scrapbook solution for all SU! lovers.  This product is so versitile!!  You can obviously make disgital scrapbook pages but look what else you can make :)
